Katniss Everdeen is the main protagonist and the narrator of the Hunger Games trilogy. After her younger sister, Primrose, was reaped to participate in the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss volunteered to take her place as the female tribute from District 12.

I previously did a tutorial on drawing a realistic depiction of Katniss before, but I thought it would be fun to translate her realistic form into a cartoon. Let just imagine if Pixar, Disney or DreamWorks pick up the property and want to make a feature animation film of the Hunger Game. And you job is to design all the characters in stylized cartoon. That’s where I am heading with this tutorial. I just want to show you how you can transform any character into any particular style as an experimental character design. This process would be conceptual art or research and development (R&D) in the studio.
