This design for Crooked Cyder label happens by accident. Apparently, the people who make the cyder found one of my old sketch on the internet four or five years ago. So they asked me if they could use it. So I did some touch up on the sketch for them, it was one of those lucky gig that people actually found your drawing or painting on the internet. This happen to me quite a bit recently after I’ve been blogging and post some videos on Youtube. I receive some offer to do trading cards, book covers and concept art via the internet.
There are two versions of the cyder so I design according to the client’s request. The warrior vulture will be on the lable of the traditional cloudy dry cider. It showcases from head to bust on a red label / brown bottle.
As for the sparkling cider, I use the same vulture but in a jacket and tie. Skinny 80’s style tie. I think the cyder is currently in New Zealand. If any of you have tried it, let me know.
