How to draw an Anime character Sailor Saturn. Sailor Saturn, Hotaru’s Senshi form, wears a purple and brown uniform. The initial version of this uniform has petal-shaped sleeves, a star brooch and choker with the same kind of star, gloves, and knee-high, laced-up stiletto boots. Sailor Saturn is especially recognizable for the Silence Glaive she carries, which she may use to bring about the cataclysmic destruction of a world or worlds. However, she has the ability to heal minor wounds in both her civilian and Senshi forms. In this tutorial you will learn to draw a Manga character Sailor Saturn. I will show you step by step drawing her face and body in a natural stance with her right arm touches her chin or thinking pose. This version of Sailor Saturn Anime is my interpretation as a tribute to the series. It does not stay true to the original style of the Anime. I like drawing character with different style of Manga drawing rather than copying the original. Hope you like it. I usually start my rough sketch with simple geometry shapes to construct the basic Manga head and body. By following this process, you will find drawing is lot easier. It is very important to get the shape and proportion right in the beginning.
Once Mistress 9 was awakened by Chibiusa’s Pure Heart Crystal Hotaru fights to hold on so Mistress 9 does not get complete control of her body. Eventually Hotaru’s body rejects Mistress 9 and the spirit of Sailor Saturn is awakened. Sailor Saturn attempts to destroy Pharaoh 90 of the Death Busters with Death Reborn Revolution, but Sailor Moon (as Super Sailor Moon) stops her by destroying Pharaoh 90 and allowing Sailor Saturn to be reborn as a baby.
Below are step by step how to draw Sailor Saturn. Step one, I drew a head shape very roughly. Step two, I added her eyes nose and mouth along with gesture lines to establish her hair style. Step three, I finished the rest of her hair and roughly sketch her torso. Step four, I drew both of her arms and detail of her costume on her upper body. Step five, I drew her double layers skirt. Step six, I added her legs, hands and fingers to finish the drawing.
