Nico Robin (ニコ・ロビン), nicknamed “Devil Child” by the World Government, is an archaeologist. Nico is from Ohara, home of the world’s largest and oldest library. She becomes an archaeologist at the age of eight and learns how to decipher the writings on the ancient stones called Poneglyph. Robin cooperates with various pirates and other outlaws, eventually becoming a member of Baroque Works as its vice president, nicknamed as “Ms. All-Sunday” at the time.
Here is a quick drawing of Nico Robin, I spend about 15-20 minutes since it was a beginner tutorial. I will probably make a better version when I paint her in more intermediate tutorial.
Below are step by step images how to draw Nico Robin from One Piece Anime. Step one, as usual I started of with an egg shape for Nico’s head along with her neck. Step two, I drew a horizontal line across the top one third of the height of her head. I also lightly sketched out her body. Step three, now I started drawing her facial structure. At this point, you have to make sure you line up everything correctly along with the proportion. You might have to look at some picture references. Step four, then I can add her cowboy hat and her hair style. Step five, I use darker line to draw over her face that was previously sketched. Step six, I then sketch the rest of her upper body and her arms.
Step seven, I added her right hand into the image. Step eight, I draw over her body and arms with darker lines. Then I shade darker value onto her hair.
