Digital painting tutorial creature concept tiger warrior

Digital painting tutorial creature concept tiger beast warrior. This tutorial shows you how I create and paint a creature concept design base on a Siberian tiger. This is one way to get a really quick idea down within limited time of 30 minutes. It is a quick conceptual design, not a finished illustration by any means but most illustration can start off this way. Only you will have to spend a lot more time and skill to refine and take it to finish.

If you are not used to getting a quick idea, you can start off with just shapes and any kind of familiar creature or animal in mind. Then go from there and let your imagination leads the way.

Again I usually start my image from shapes and build those shape up along with composition in mind. The lighting and value.
Tips on speedpainting. Keep it simple first and make your image clear and easy to read or identify.
Things you should focus on primarily.
1) Shapes
2) Lighting and mood
3) Edges and depth of field.
