Digital painting tutorial dragon hunters speed-paint

Digital painting tutorial dragon hunters speed-paint. This tutorial shows you how I paint a scene of a dragon chasing two dragon hunters.
In this one, I start with painting over the existing painting that I have. The advantage of using existing painting is I automatically get the color palette to use in the current one.
When I start a speedpainting I usually have a rough idea of what I am going to paint. It also helps if you have some story to tell in the scene. Then I layout the composition in my head just with shapes. I often prioritize three things after I set my mind on the composition.
1) Foreground, mid-ground, and background.
2) Shapes and how they interact (or what happen)
3) Lighting the scene. How to I light this scene to convey my message or to make it looks interesting.

Here is a final painting of Dragon hunters run (30 minutes)
