How to draw a Manga character Dead Master. Dead Master (デッドマスター) is the antagonist in the Black★Rock Shooter OVA and the manga series Black★Rock Shooter ~Innocent Soul~. Dead Master is a girl with wavy dark green hair and straight bangs, and neon green eyes. Her outfit is similar to a Gothic Lolita outfit. She wears a black dress and a black bolero; her dress extends down to her thighs and is accented with a white ribbon attached to her waist. In this tutorial you will learn to draw Dead Master. I will show you step by step drawing her face and body in a natural standing pose holding a scythe downward in her left hand. I am trying to keep the Dead Master character as close to the original as I can because all the characters in the series are really well design. I hope you like the tutorial and the final drawing. Whenever you start drawing you should start with a rough geometry shapes. As in any tutorial, I usually start my rough sketch with simple geometry shapes to construct the basic Manga head and body. By following this process, you will find drawing is lot easier. It is very important to get the shape and proportion right in the beginning. If you understand its basic foundation, it will be easier to draw anything. If you want to be really good at drawing, you will have to practice at least a few to many hours a day.
Dead Master also wears a pair of leggings and a pair of black pumps. She wears a pair of black gauntlets on each hand. On her head is a pair of long horns which resemble a pair of vertebrae with each tip made out of three tips joined at the end. Dead Master also has a pair of wings which sit low on her back, looking like a thick zigzag.
Her weapon of choice is a large scythe named Dead Scythe. Most of the time she is accompanied by two floating skulls, each with glowing cavities, which she uses to attack.
Below are step by step how to draw Dead Master. First, I usually started with a simple geometry shape for a head. Step two, then I started adding detail like eyes, nose, and mouth along the previous measuring lines on her face. I also drew her hair bang over her forehead. Step three, I then drew her curly hair flowing on both side of her shoulder. I also rough sketched her torso. Step four, I added her arm and skirt. Step five, I drew sleeves over both her arms, detail over her dress, and both very long legs. Step six, I drew detail over her horns, hands and part of the Dead Scythe.
