Black★Rock Shooter (ブラック★ロックシューター, Burakku Rokku Shuutaa) is the titular character and main protagonist of many projects, including the anime OVA Black★Rock Shooter, the RPG of the same name, the anime series and the manga Black★Rock Shooter ~Innocent Soul~. In this tutorial you will learn to draw Black★Rock Shooter. I will show you step by step drawing her face and body in a standing upward with a sword down in her right hand. I am trying to keep the character as close to the original as I can because the character is so cool. She is very well design as a character. I hope you like the tutorial and the final drawing. Before every drawing you should start with a rough geometry shapes. I usually start my rough sketch with simple geometry shapes to construct the basic Manga head and body. By following this process, you will find drawing is lot easier. It is very important to get the shape and proportion right in the beginning. If you understand its basic foundation, it will be easier to draw anything. If you want to be really good at drawing, you will have to practice at least a few to many hours a day.
Black★Rock Shooter (ブラック★ロックシューター Burakku Rokku Shūtā?) is a Japanese media franchise based on characters created by illustrator Ryohei “Huke” Fuke. It revolves around its eponymous character, a mysterious black haired girl with a blazing blue eye. The original illustration inspired a song of the same name by Supercell, which gained popularity on the Nico Nico Douga website. A 50-minute original video animation based on the franchise was produced by Yutaka Yamamoto’s studio Ordet, written by Nagaru Tanigawa and Shinobu Yoshioka, and directed by Shinobu Yoshioka.

Step two, I drew her face along the construction line I established in step one. I also added her hoodie and right arm. Step three, I refined her hair style around the head and added her pelvis to the body. Step four, I sketched her long flowing pig tails like hair and add her bikini top. Step five, I drew in her jacket, shorts and long upper legs. Step six, I then added her Kitana, refined her pig tails and finish the rest of the body.
