How to draw Deadpool from Marvel comics. This video tutorial shows you how to draw a character from Marvel, Deadpool. This video is new (2016). I also have two different versions of step by step in this post. You can scroll down further to see step by step images with instruction.

Deadpool, Wade Winston Wilson, is a mercenary and anti-hero appearing in comic books published by Marvel. In this tutorial, you will learn to draw Deadpool with step by step basic drawing instruction. The step by step images will show you how to draw both his mask, body and the rest of the costume in a static natural standing pose with his arms crossed. It is also important have some knowledge of anatomy as an artist. Though you don’t have to know every muscles on the body. More often than not you will have to design outfit over the body, but it is still very important to make sure that the visible anatomy is correct. Best way I would suggest to learn anatomy is to go to life drawing session. Quick gesture drawing will help you understand dynamic movement and poses while longer poses will help you learn anatomy and muscle structure in real life. This drawing took me about thirty minutes to draw just for tutorial purpose, not a finished art or portfolio piece. I usually start drawing the character with gesture lines to get the basic structure and pose of a character. It is very important to get correct shape, proportion, and accuracy for initial sketch, before you start drawing with solid lines. This way, when you make a final drawing, your drawing will be accurate. Remember to keep it simple and correct before going on to the next step.

Here is the newer version of step by step from the drawing video tutorial.

Wade Wilson’s early life is mostly unknown. His mother died of cancer while he was young and his father was physically abusive. Deadpool possesses a superhuman healing factor derived from that of the mutant Wolverine that allows him to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of his cellular structure at a rate far greater than that of an ordinary human. As such, he can regrow severed limbs or vital organs. The speed at which this healing factor works varies in direct proportion to the severity of the damage Deadpool suffers. This healing factor also affords Deadpool a virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs, as well as an enhanced resistance to diseases and an extended life span. Deadpool is an extraordinary hand-to-hand combatant and is skilled in multiple unarmed combat techniques. He is a master of assassination techniques, is an excellent marksman, and is highly skilled with bladed weapons.

Below are step by step images how to draw Deadpool along with instruction.  Step one, I usually started off with basic head shape and shoulders.  Step two, I drew his eyes without nose or mouth because his mask covered them all.   I also sketched his shoulders muscles, forearms and torso.  Step three, I drew darker lines for his upper shoulders and upper arms.  Step four, I then drew the rest of his forearms and hands along with his gloves.  Step five, I sketch out his lower torso and utilities belt.  Step six, I finished up his costume along with all his gears and sword.

Awesome! I was looking for one of these! Love Deadpool, and I’m aiming to draw all the Marvel’s Avengers later even though he’s not one of them I still count him in though cause he chills with Spiderman. You didn’t draw his legs though so I put a tutu on him. He does not look happy with it on though lol.
