A bit about Hulk, he was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in The Incredible Hulk #1 (May 1962). The Hulk is cast as the emotional and impulsive alter ego of the withdrawn and reserved physicist Dr. Bruce Banner. The Hulk appears shortly after Banner is accidentally exposed to the blast of a test detonation of a gamma bomb he invented. Subsequently, Banner will involuntarily transform into the Hulk, depicted as a giant, raging, humanoid monster, leading to extreme complications in Banner’s life. Lee said the Hulk’s creation was inspired by a combination of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Frankenstein.

hey I just found your tutorials on youtube and your great. I’m an amature artist like I can draw but I just bought a bamboo tablet and I don’t really know anything about photoshop. This tutorial has gotten me really inspired. The only issue I have is that in your video tutorial you go by the steps really quick but I guess that’s what this blog is for. Just wish that you described a bit more.
i been experimenting and trying to color this digitally but its very hard. Any tips?

Sorry, it goes fast, but I cannot go any slower. I usually finished 1-2 illustrations a day. But go read the articles below, they will help.

First, take your time in drawing and painting. Know what you want to achieve.
    Read all of them carefully.
    Focus on value when painting

I use a few layers at the time then I merge them all. Focus on value (light and dark). Be honest and trust your eye because your brain will tell you otherwise. Draw what you see, not what you think the object should look like.

Thanks for your reply. I’m at work so couldn’t log into my twitter here, but when I have the time I will definitely read all your tips. Can I ask a personal question? Did you go to school for this? if not how long did it take you to learn all this? Just trying to see if I can pick this up without going to school. Since I really enjoy drawing and I want to expand my medium onto digital art, but with finance constraints and work its very hard for me to go back to school for something I have a great passion about.
Again thanks for your tips I will read it all when I get home tonight.
