I am very excited for the upcoming movie “The Dark Knight”, directed by Christopher Nolan. I really like how his Batman is portrayed (Christian Bale). In this movie, the Joker (Heath Ledger) will be even more menacing than ever before(I hope)!

Taken from Wikipedia: “In the original version of the story and the vast majority of retellings, Batman’s secret identity is Bruce Wayne, an American millionaire (later billionaire) playboy, industrialist, philanthropist. Having witnessed the murder of his parents as a child, he swore revenge on crime, an oath tempered with the greater ideal of justice. Wayne trains himself both physically and intellectually and dons a bat-themed costume in order to fight crime. Batman operates in the fictional American Gotham City, assisted by various supporting characters including his crime-fighting partner, Robin, his butler Alfred Pennyworth, the police commissioner Jim Gordon, and occasionally the heroine Batgirl. He fights an assortment of villains such as the Joker, the Riddler, the Penguin, Two-Face, Poison Ivy and Catwoman. Unlike most superheroes, he does not possess any superpowers.”
“The Dark Knight Rises is an upcoming American superhero film under the development of Christopher Nolan, David S. Goyer, and Jonathan Nolan. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film will be the third and final installment in Nolan’s Batman film series.”
Below are step by step images to complement the above video tutorial.
Step 1: I just roughed out a light drawing of a basic male head and torso (body). In image 2, I began to add Batman features such as bat ears, the utility belt, and Bat gloves. In step 3 and 4, I started to refine his costume and added the mask. Also, I added more muscle definition in the drawing. Follow the video tutorial for more detailed instructions.
