Round 5: Orion Witch Voting time.

There aren’t as many art work as previous round this time. Where did all you guys go? Still it’s great to see some of you have improve a lot.   Thank you to all of you who participate, especially David Hakobian who submit two pieces!!! Great job! Hopefully you guys will continue to get better on every round. Congratz to all of you.  Thanks again!!!  ;-)

   entires are dropping by 50 percent each contest.
   i mean first one started off with a 100 entries which
   is pretty amazing, seems to be dying down or is it just
   people are too busy i dunno.

   i just enjoy doing them.

   I was in every round before, but this round I can´t because I´m working for an other project. I think it is usual for contests like this if people leaves, because not every one has the motivation to do a picture every 2 weeks.

   You’re welcome Xia, but I should thank you for making these drawing contests. They are really motivating, inspiring and make me draw things that I probably wouldn’t normally draw! I hope that people, who really care to improve their skills, will realize the true purpose of these contests and keep participating.

    Hey, Xia, I don’t know if you care, but I am going to tell you anyway. I won’t be back until sometime in August because I am taking an online digital art class and it won’t end until then. But I will come back to participate, that is my plan. When I come back you guys will stand no chance against me. Just kidding.

    I don´t even matter if someone is cheating or not because i´m here to practise, paint and get critique from others but i think its not fair to post it on other pages like facebook to get votes to win.
    I think its better to let only members vote who were registrated until the voting poll starts. I saw this system on many other pages and it works great.

    Also, Uni started up for me, so been pretty busy. I’ll try and participate again next time. Might be worth advertising the site on YouTube next time you upload a tutorial.

    Actually I voted for davin but wish i could withdraw it. He posted it on his FB page and got his mates to vote. I love the piece that he drew, but its just bang out of order to get your mates to vote on it. Everyone could go and do that if that was the case. Nobody but the community should be able to vote.

    On a side note I could not enter(gutted i couldn’t as this was right up my street) as my pc is deaded Have to wait till end of month to get new hard drive for it.

    then why also is the site connected to facebook? the friend votes of finalknight still seem to be counted…

    I think the problem is that the votes are obviously biased, if I got my friends to vote for me then it’s not about the drawing anymore, no matter how good that drawing is. I don’t think I’ve seen a rule about it either, but with a little more thought there shouldn’t need to be if you want to improve.

    That said even in the already registered people there’s going to be some bias.

    I don’t think my opinion counts. but I will give my two cents I like the first round when Xia did the judging. He might not have that time anymore? So he left it up to us? I cant speak for the man. I also hate seeing the vote count as people are getting friends. I honestly don’t care about winning as I do Improving But winning would be a big confidence boost for anyone. I think everyone has improved or gained in there skills so far just from doing this every two weeks. It has helped me out allot and for that I do not care if people cheat or call on there friends for a vote as I am here to pick up and learn new skills and techniques and get some critique’s.
