Pokemon Fan Art – Ursaring and Teddiursa

For this drawing I started scribbling the two Pokemon and from the beginning I knew I wanted to make it really cartoon-like. I drew both Pokemon with pots of honey, the idea is that Teddiursa is giving Ursaring some honey for fathers day. There was a third figure but I got rid of it. |

After I got the Ursaring and Teddiursa lines done, I started working on the third figure but I changed my mind. If you watched the video then you noticed that there were three figures. The third one was Pooh, I was going to draw him yelling because Teddiursa stole his honey to give it to Ursaring. I took him out because I felt it would take too long to draw three figures, I don’t like working on a drawing too much. Also if you watched the video you noticed that I tried to make my lines as long as possible, instead of using sketchy lines. You have to put your elbow into it when making long fluid lines. |

I chose the normal colors for Ursaring and Teddiursa. The colors came out pretty flat but that is usually how I do things. Its mainly because I am not good at coloring, but I like to think that its because I choose to do it like that. I don’t think that there is anything wrong with the colors but I am sure there is. |

Here is the final drawing and I really like how it came out. The background is really just a bunch of scribbles. I like doing backgrounds like that because they are difficult and I think it contrasts nicely with the Ursaring and Teddiursa. I used the color balance tool to connect the colors and even though I like how it looks, I didn’t want it to be so warm. However, I like it overall and hope you like it too. |
oh and you could try making the fire a little bigger on the wing
