I’m not sure if you can see the difference here cause its a really minor edit to a “big” change lol. expressions are tricky with a slight shift in lines and form it gives a different mood and feeling. so its good that i posted WIPs so we get feed backs

Hey guys! sorry for not updating sooner, but my internet is being really stupid lately, have no idea why but its being laggy and slow. However it seems to sort itself out so i’m taking this time to post my update and its my Final piece yup, when i first read the challenge post, it made me smile cause i think it was brilliant of Xia to choose the PPG as the topic, and mix it with a Gladiator? genius, let there be blood i say!

Hello again, this is my second update for my Buttercup WIP. as you can see i have added more details to her armor and design and also skin color. I’m also considering to add some backgrounds just to add a little more depth, i hope. any suggestions on the background? what do you guys think so far?

I decided to redesign Buttercup as i think she is really a badass to begin with so i think its fitting turning her into a gladiator besides i’d like to play around with the greens as well.  This took longer than i should, about like 3 hours i think, it’s just my bad habit of iterating everything till im satisfied lol. I’ll try to finish this tomorrow, let me know what you guys think k

   The texturing across the piece actually strikes me as being a little too uniform but other than that its shaping up.

    I love this one and it gets my vote. Do you do Warhammer fanart by anychance? There is a lot of detail in this one that I wish I could look at more(in work at the mo)

    Very nice update. My only critique on this is not to make her look so happy that she has blood all over her face. There should be a more serious expression coming from her, like she just got done destroying some guy in the arena and still has that lust for battle in her eyes.

    Other than that, great rendering and detail.

    i like the general expression of you girl, maybe a bit too much gore and well, the edges on the lips are mostly soft, paint some lips from reference!
    her breasts look kindof asymmetric, her left one looks a bit larger than the other one…. a friend of mine told me having the breasts squeezed together like this was really inconvenient btw
    and i personally would have preferred if the design of her left shoulder plate was a bit more definded….dont get me wrong, most of the things i mentioned are just matters of taste, in general its a good painting, cool structure and pretty good values. keep it up, man

    Hey Thanks Jacob! i didn’t realize your comments lol. you mentioned about the edges on her lips? is there any examples or tips you got? would love to fix more on that.
