Author's Description:

Eventually I didn’t have more time to work on this, so I’ll leave it like this as the final version. I kinda like it like this anyway :)

Some trivia about the characters:

Blossom: Never cut her hair, she braided it to three long braids, entwined with the red bow she loves so much. She looked for a pretty & fashionable armor, safety last! always the fancy one, she couldn’t help but strike a pose. :)

Bubbles: Knightly and shy, with her powerful OctiSpear. She was urged by the other girls to wear a sturdy armor because she (unintentionally, of course…) gets into trouble. Her sweet facade may be broken when pushed over the limit…

Buttercup: With her beloved green blanket she keeps as a cape, she’s of course the toughest one, and reckless, so she doesn’t really care about protection. As she loves to use her fists, she was sent a pair of high-tech PowerGloves from the future by professor Utonium!

Thanks! (click for bigger size)

WIP#4

Here comes blossom! :)

WIP#3

Decided to make it a trio (hope I’ll make it..) So Bubbles joins the party :)

WIP#2

Update:

Worked on it some more, added weapons ‘n stuff:

WIP#1

Buttercup from the PowerPuff Girls, gladiatorified :)

Not sure if it’s a WIP or I’m finished with it…

Photoshop, about 4-5 hours currently, with breaks in the middle… (I work TOO slow!)

Thanks!

    Love those long legs!

  2. jtsuth

Fantastic job on this! The only critique I have is that the shadows on her stomach make her look bloated and definitely need to be trimmed down a bit.

  3. charmoyl

Impressive work. I lovetha style you’re going for. But please, don’t stop here. While it looks good as it is, you have plenty of time to refine and tweak thinks a little. I suggest you save a copy and experiment with shading and shadows a bit more. Adding little patterns and detail in areas would pick up this piece tremendously.
And 4-5hours is really quick btw. I’m on 10 hours currently, and only 35% done!

Now, go forth and create a masterpiece!

  4. Remunial

As jtsuth pointed out, the shading on the stomach/side makes it look weird. It looks really nice, though. I like your style.

  5. Eyal Degabli

    Thanks for your comments! I’ll continue working on it, though with the competition I’m feeling like my chances are slim ^^;

  6. Marcin Sciolny

    nice one like the pose

  7. Remunial

The stomach looks much better. I LOVE the huge gloves but i’m not sure they really go with the rest of her outfit. =) They still look cool though.

  8. Juan Guzman

i give it a 85% you almost had me but the eyes, they just dont seem to add up or combine well with the rest.

  9. gibbo19

    decent effort
credit for doing all 3 of them
some issues with shadow and value.

    but overall pretty good job!!

  10. Remunial

I like that you gave them big eyes like the cartoon does. However, they don’t really look right for some reason. Especially Blossom and Bubbles. They look odd.

  11. Ryan Hendrix

I see what you are trying with the eyes, letting the original characters have a heavy influence. Good idea imo, because these are unmistakable as the Powerpuff girls. I like the octopus lance too, lol

  12. ARPelayre

Fantastic job incorporating elements from the original Power Puff girls, something most entries on here are unfortunately lacking. I look forward to the final!

Got something constructive to say?
